Deer Stalking Certificate 1 (2 Day)
DSC1 is an initial qualification for deer stalkers and managers. It is a largely knowledge based qualification which enables candidates to demonstrate their understanding of basic deer management principles and meat hygiene, and to show competence in safety and shooting at simulated targets.
Run by Scottish Gamekeepers Association Recognised Trainers.

What is expected by the candidate and what your Approved Witness (AW) will be looking for from you.
What you can expect from the AW, and what you should look for in an AW.
Also a practical stalk for Roe deer.
Deer carcass management, gralloching tips and inspection techniques.
Recording culls and how to write up your account of the occasion.
