Wild Venison

Liddlesdale Venison

We are a small family business supplying locally sourced wild venison from sustainable   woodlands and forests we manage across the Scottish Borders and Northern England. 


Liddlesdale Venison  have been  registered with Scottish Borders Council since 2015, and  hold Trained Hunter status,  this means we cull and  ONLY process, sell our own  venison, we don't buy in or sell venison from 3rd parties. With years of experience culling deer for Forestry & Land Scotland, and working to SQWV guidelines (Scottish Quality Wild Venison).


 All our venison comes from local sustainable forests as part of a controlled deer management plan. We work closely with forestry managers and land owners towards forestry and land sustainability. 


 While most supermarket venison is farmed in New Zealand, a sea journey of 14,000 miles-  most of our venison is source it within 30 miles.


This gives us  100% traceability forest to final consumer. 

Part of our environmental policy to  use leadfree ammunition at all times. 


Liddlesdale Wildlife Management venison is wild, healthy, ethical, local, sustainable. Any buy products are also utilised, deer feet, ears and any offcuts are turned into healthy venison jerky dog chews and venison bones are available for clients to purchase for stock.


Liddlesdale  Venison is Registered with Scottish Borders Council as a food supplier and processor, having  Passed Foods Standards Scotland, Food Hygiene Information Scheme.
